Dr. Codde has spent time in Jordan working on educational issues and, in particular, teacher education. She has met and worked with educators at all levels and has developed a comprehensive understanding of the issues related to improving education and student outcomes.
As was written by Abdallah Abu Naba’H from the Hashemite University in Jordan and others “It is said that the destiny of a nation is shaped in its classrooms and it is the teacher who is a very important instrument in molding that destiny. Of all the professions, only teaching is charged with the formidable task of fostering the human skills and capabilities that will enable societies to survive and succeed in the age of information.”
Teacher education is a field which has received a great deal of attention over the past several decades not only in Jordan but globally. Many search for the best model and for best practices which can then be applied to their education systems. But when doing so the key issue of culture must be considered. What works in one country may not work best in another. Thus, understanding the critical issues regionally and nationally must be explored.
If your organization needs assistance in assessing the educational issues in your region contact the Codde Group and we would be pleased to offer our advice, leadership, and understandings related to educational reform, teacher education, workforce development, and capacity building.
